UK Tuition Fees Make Britain Number One Choice For Bulgarian Students

Fri, 24 Oct 2008

Bulgarian students are increasingly opting to study in the UK due to the relatively low tuition fees for Baccalaureate programmes .

British universities are often seen as an ideal choice for young Bulgarians to further their education as they allocate various scholarships and social stipends, for which most Bulgarians qualify.

Recently, representatives of University of London visited the Professor Vassil Zlatarski private high school in Sofia to present the school a range of available Baccalaureate programmes.

Recruiting specialists from three London universities - the London School of Economics, King's College and Imperial College - introduced the programmes to the Bulgarian students, stressing the fact that motivation is essential to become a student at any of the UL's colleges .

Every candidate is required to send a motivation letter, which is vital to the admittance process. Specialists advise students not apply to more than two programmes at the same college, as this is normally interpreted as lack of strong interest in one field of study .

All three UK colleges admit new students through UCAS . Bulgarian candidates need to pass TOEFL or IELTS for a proof of English language proficiency.
