Founder Tanya de Grunwald recently claimed that would-be students should be aware of the reality of entering into higher education.
She noted that hundreds of thousands of graduates have discovered that their degree did not open as many doors as they thought it would and many now believe that their university education was not a worthwhile investment .
"Many of those who graduate from university now (and in the future) will struggle to pay off their debt for the rest of their working lives," Ms de Grunwald cautioned.
"Already we are seeing evidence that young people's wages have not only flatlined, but may actually be dropping in real terms as the cost of living is soaring, especially in London."
The expert stated that she is "deeply concerned" by the government's policy of "herding" young people towards university, noting that it may not be the best choice for all.
Those who do undertake a degree course should ensure that they do their homework on student finance in order to get the best deal for themselves.
