Experiment to shape future student loan provision

Fri, 04 Nov 2011

A unique experiment has been launched to help shape the way student loans will be issued and handled in the future.

The Student Loans Company (SLC) announced it is searching for 5,000 customers to take part in an online Student Finance Lab.

It is hoped the initiative will see current, former and future loan recipients offering their views on the services available regarding university goers seeking financial assistance.

Jenifer Stirton, director of marketing and communications at the SLC - which delivers government-funded grants and monetary help to undergraduates throughout the UK - said feedback received from customers is highly regarded and it is hoped this scheme will help shape future products offered by the group.

The industry figure added: "The SLC has already made real progress in improving customer service over the past two years and is continuing to build on what it has achieved so far."

Those who agree to take part in the initiative will stand the chance of winning £500 in Amazon vouchers, while tokens worth an additional £250 are available for every survey or online discussion they join.
