Young people finishing university may return to their family home in an effort to ease the strain of student finance.
Rasheed Ogunlaru, life coach and motivational speaker at rasaru.com, has noted many individuals in their early twenties are taking their time before choosing to fly the nest.
Mr Ogunlaru stated: "Some of them are actually thinking strategically - thinking if it is going to be in their benefit to stay [at home] and establish themselves financially first."
Those coming to the end of university life who are worried about their monetary situation and concerned about paying back their student loan may therefore wish to consider the benefits to be had through moving back in with their mum and dad.
The expert pointed out such a decision can also bring other advantages, such as improving family ties and providing an extra pair of hands to help out around the home.
Earlier in the week, the Basingstoke Gazette reported that figures from Student Finance England suggested many of those heading to university from the south-east of England later this year are already trying to get their student finances in order.
